St. Peter’s has a new logo and it represents much more than a new look. The new identity reflects who St. Peter’s is today, what it believes and the welcoming community it continues to build.
At the center of the new mark are three simple symbols: a fish, bread and water. The fish connects St. Peter’s to its namesake, the fisherman who answered Christ’s call, as well as to its home by the sea. The bread represents nourishment: the bread shared at God’s table, as well as the meals, hospitality and care St. Peter’s shares with its neighbors. Water evokes both baptism and the church’s coastal home in Beverly.
Together, these elements tell a larger story: St. Peter’s feeds more of God’s people. All are welcome at the table.
The circular form brings the symbols together in a continuous flow, suggesting connection, movement and community. Rooted in the traditions and story of St. Peter’s, the design also has a modern, open spirit that reflects the church today: joyful, active, compassionate, progressive and genuinely welcoming.
The new color palette draws inspiration from St. Peter’s New England surroundings. Ocean blues and sea-glass greens connect the identity to Beverly’s coastline, while warm sand, terracotta and sunset orange bring warmth, energy and humanity. Together, the colors create a flexible visual language that can feel vibrant and joyful or quiet and contemplative.
Most importantly, we designed the new identity to be a community builder—giving St. Peter’s a stronger way to tell its story far beyond Sunday worship. It speaks to those who come for a meal, attend a community program, volunteer, seek connection, watch a service online, live nearby or simply wonder whether there might be a place for them at St. Peter’s.
Because at St. Peter’s, there is.
